Thrivent Builds with Habitat for Humanity
San Francisco

Thrivent Financial for Lutherans has embarked on an unprecedented partnership with Habitat for Humanity affiliates across the country. The Thrivent Builds program is a four-year, $105 million commitment to build over 300 homes per year in the United States and even more around the world.

Habitat for Humanity San Francisco’s 2007 Thrivent Builds home is now complete! The generous full-home sponsorship from Thrivent allowed HHSF to build a home in San Francisco’s Outer Mission neighborhood for a family of seven in desperate need of improved living conditions. Volunteers, staff and members of the Lutheran community celebrated the home dedication with the partner family in December.

The 2007 Thrivent Builds house is just down the street from the Thrivent Builds house completed in 2006 that is now home to James and Li Chu and their children Jonathan and Josephine.
